Latin Dance Winnipeg was born from a shared passion by Harold Rancano and Krystalynn Baldon — a dream to create more than just a dance school. We wanted to build a space where people could escape the stress of everyday life and step into a world of rhythm, joy, and connection.

Harold Rancano is a multi‑world Bachata champion whose career has taken him from local stages to international spotlights. Known for his precision, musicality, and powerful stage presence, Harold has earned multiple world titles while representing Canada on some of the most prestigious Latin dance stages around the globe.

As an instructor, Harold is celebrated for his ability to break down complex technique with clarity and patience, empowering dancers of all ages to grow with confidence. His teaching blends artistry, athleticism, and a deep love for community — a combination that has shaped countless dancers across Winnipeg and beyond.

A defining chapter of Harold’s career is his long‑standing partnership with Regan Hirose. Together, they became internationally recognized for their innovative choreography, dynamic performances, and championship‑winning routines. Their work helped elevate the Canadian Latin dance scene on the world stage and inspired a new generation of dancers.

Today, Harold brings that same excellence, creativity, and passion to Latin Dance Winnipeg, where he continues to mentor dancers and grow the local community.

Krystalynn’s dance journey began eight years ago in the very same beginner classes she now teaches — a full‑circle story that reflects her deep love for the art form and the community that shaped her. What started as a simple step into something new quickly grew into a lifelong passion, fueled by the friendships, memories, and transformative experiences she found on the dance floor.

Her commitment to growing the Winnipeg Latin dance community holds a special place in her heart. She often shares how this community became a meaningful part of her life, offering connection, confidence, and countless moments of joy through the many students she has taught and the relationships she has built along the way.

With a background in education, choreography, and youth programming, Krystalynn brings warmth, structure, and creativity to every class she leads. She is known for making dancers feel seen, supported, and capable — whether they’re tiny beginners or adults rediscovering their love for movement. Her mission is simple: to help others experience the same sense of belonging and empowerment that dance brought into her own life.
